Unhappy Failed MOT.

Well it's not that bad really. It failed on a rear tyre and an air freshener dangling . I honestly didn't know about a small dangly air freshener. If they can fail an MOT done by Halfrauds, why do they sell them?

Not bad for 122,000 miles. However some advisories....

Both front to rear brake pipes slightly corroded
Offside brake pipe slightly corroded
Offside rear tyre close to legal limit
Back box slightly deteriorated
Front wipers starting to smear
Oil level just above minimum level

I'm well happy.

Since when did they check the oil level in an MOT??

Not a bad list though, as you say

I think some MOT places check the oil prior to the smoke test IE rev the engine to max ,just to be on the safe side
