Now I am am confused, your original post stated. I do not agree with verbal abuse of any kind but selling your car because of what was said on a forum??

Should have stopped after the first paragraph. Many have 'signed off' on a sour note, just stop posting eh? If you don't like to see the inane stuff that gets posted, then don't even sign on! Personally I think the forum makes a good read, gives you an insight into human behaviour.

Hi, other factors played in my decision to sell. I’m working most days doing building work on our barn conversion, I can only spend a small amount of time on my cars when absolutely necessary. Old retired guys like myself who drive ‘the flag’ will mostly support Brexit, that’s my perception reinforced by my experiences on this forum and it became a factor in my decision to sell. I’m happy with moving on.

Theres no way Brexit or the thought of brexit would make any right minded person to sell. Ditto for a forum made up of some folk with differing opinions. The only possible reason for even mentioning brexit, is to throw a low blow in an unwelcome argument.

Michael, I've hit many a bum note when I've been waved in to play ... but mostly it goes ok.

Verbal abuse and harassment is never to be tolerated. However don't let other folk start to rule your actions in life. Just ignore them and do what you want to do.

The forum has had its share of these kinds of folk but gradually their numbers have been whittled down mainly by shooting themselves in the foot.---

So don't leave just because of them. Don't let them win.
I've always appreciated the effort that you put in to your posts John, the colour the sizing the detail and the subject are all noticeable from a back-end of site point of view. But I suspect that there might be a couple of boils to be lanced in your understanding of some matters re between the lines of your post.

I totally agree - especially as the OP here was one of the main culprits when it came to abusing the sensible guidelines re “B” related posts!

I’m sorry if anyone feels they have to leave this great Forum because others have differing views. But there was no bullying at all! Just a firm hand applied to a persistent abuser of the rules.

What has been inferred against other Forum members is laughable. The Mods did nothing in my view it was because nothing needed to be done.

This smacks of someone not getting their own way and so doing a bit of “dummy launching”.

As has been said before there are loads of places to discuss politics - I know - I use them - why clutter up a car Forum?

Presumably even mentioning the “B” word as a reason to leave in the OP ticks a box on someones agenda.
