Lightbulb Water Drains Question

Hi guys,

So my Rover 75 from 2003 (V1) has one water drain hole below the engine cover on the left side when standing in front of the car.

But there is none on the right side that is visible without putting things out.
Instead of a drain hole its just a black plastic no hole.

Is that normal or has the hole been covered by the previous owner?

Thanks.

It was deleted during project drive and replaced with a blanking grommet on later cars , so your car is normal

Apparently, the driver-side hole is too high for water to drain through it anyway. The important one is that in the plenum floor on the passenger side.

Higher ??---But maybe a backup if the lower hole got blocked ???-----

With dead leaves in the plenum the lower hole would suffer first. At the design stage somebody must have thought it a good idea.
