Default Central locking

I have a black rectangle box that I think is the central locking module I have a rover 75 2 litre diesel v6 petrol and I cant find where the old one is located does it have one

I may be wrong (usually am) but I thought the central locking was controlled by the BCU above the fusebox

In early cars it’s located under the centre console, and it’s a black rectangular box.
