Good evening I am a new member, been into Rovers for years, had a few 2/400's and 2/45s, just got my first 75. Absolutely love it, I'm not really up on the details yet so hoping someone can shed some light on my car?

W166UOC 75 Club SE 1.8
VIN ending:134087

I am pretty sure, -excuse me if I'm wrong- but I think it is a Cowley built car.

White Gold Metallic?

Also I haven't seen many others with this interior?

I've had it about a month now.

2 owners from new, came from Rover dealer in Wolverhampton (I haven't got the name to hand)

Really comprehensive service history.

I have since, put in new pads, droplinks and track rod ends then undersealed front to back.

I've been reading through the forum whilst I was waiting for my account to be verified, you seen like a pretty awesome group of chaps

It is a Cowley car, which is why the info isn't on the MGRinfo build database

SARRJSLPBYM134087 is the VIN, PM Reebs, he may well still be on his jollies, so be patient, and he'll be able to pull up your build data

Welcome along, lovely looking car you have. Black sills would indeed indicate Cowley built. Normally, full build details are available here http://www.mg-rover.info/get_info.htm but lots of Cowley built cars info was lost. Send a PM to Reebs & he may be able to help.
Enjoy your car, read the "How To's" & be prepared to spend a bit

Nice looking car - just remember to check the sills around the jacking pads =especially the rear.

I am looking forward to spending a bit, I just want to keep it original.

Am I right in the thinking the bottom of the front bumper should be black also?
I was thinking, if so, to put it back to how it was.

I will send him a PM, thank you

I do believe the bumper lowers should also be black, is your rear one the same?

I have already been underneath, one side is fine and original, the other has been plated before, but very well. They were a faded grey colour when I got it, Ive since ran over them with rust inhibitor and re-painted them. The only rust on the car is a slight bit of bubbling between the N/S rear door and the arch, but its nothing drastic.

Yes, Bumper at the back is black across the bottom, I think the front will be my next job along with finding a replacement steering wheel in Sandstone.

I got one of the leather/walnut steering wheels. I've driven about 500 miles since and the dye is starting to rub off already.
Try to find an original rather than a resprayed one.
And welcome to the forum
