My current tyres are only 40 profile too. Would they not fit?

They will fit but the ride quality is very harsh and speedo over reads. correct profile for 18" is 225 45 18

( What are you doing up and on the forum at this time!!)

I thought mine had them as they are aftermarket but according to my sat nav it does over read and it is harsh! As its my first ZT I thought that was normal. Hmmmn....I need a very cheap set or a set with tyres then!

Oh I'm up as off to work in a mo! Just having a coffee first!

Don't get me wrong Dawn, even with 45 profile the ZT is not the wafting along version. and the speedo will still over read but not by as much.

I prefer hairpins to gridspokes but I really wanted something a bit different.

Should get 5 wheels with tyres in a saloon - just protect trim with blankets. The other downside of low profile tyres is increased wear on suspension joints/bushes as the tyres on a high profile tyre absorb most of the smaller road imperfections. That's why my 75 is original, Werther-eater's spec, with the big, fat Connie leather seats. Never mind speed, comfort is more important at my time of life!

I'm in Brum today then go on holiday Sunday. I'm not in a hurry as they won't get refurbed straight away. I also heard back from another wheel place who thought mine could be done but after sending pics they said no as the chrome is on thin tin sheets wrapped to the wheel.

I'm curious. What wheels would mine have leftvthe factory with? Its a 2002 180+?
