How can I delete a new thread?

Started writing a new thread (How to change a window regulator), made a complete b . . . up of uploading pics - still can't work out why it didn't work - managed to delete the text but couldn't delete complete thread. Any ideas please?

Mere mortals can't delete their thread titles, only the text they contain. If I ever do this, I delete all the text and simply enter 'Ignore this thread' or similar. There's a minimum number of words needed for the system to accept it as a post.
