Morning everyone, It's a miserable rainy day here & cold with it, I've got me big cardy on again.


I've had a lie in today! I took my missus for an hospital appointment over in Wrightington yesterday for a brain scan she has to have an hearing aid & the doctor said he wanted her to have a brain scan.


Driving back I stopped to get some petrol as I got out of the car I twisted my back & could feel sciatica in my left leg It was killing me by the time we got home so I ended up going to bed with a handful of painkillers and only just hobbled out of my bed.


Anyone else noticed how much petrol has gone up lately! according to the Beeb it's the second biggest price rise in 20 years

Good evening Ian, I am sorry to hear you pulled your back getting out of the car, it’s easily done. I hope the medication and an early night brings you fast relief. Hopefully the brain scan for your good lady turns up normal.

The price of fuel in Kenya is cheap as it is subsidised by the government. It’s about 75p a litre for petrol.....

Morning Phil, It's eased a little since the other day but the sciatica is still there, It's funny how you always want to sneeze or cough when you get this
You will do anything to stifle a cough otherwise you'll be in agony again


I'm hoping the Doc sent her for an MRI scan as a precautionary reason but it just seemed strange that getting tested for hearing aids resulted in her going for an MRI.

She isn't too happy about having to wear hearing aids but it will be nice for me not having to listen to the TV on full volume....hopefully.


The price of petrol seemed to have jumped up quite a bit in price since the last time I fuelled up. Good job I've got a car that sips the stuff.
