I hope so...I just need my HG to hold out for the same length of time. Off to France on Friday which is much more switched on to lpg.

I have strong feelings along the same line of thought. Like everything green at the moment. The government only seek to cash in on the green issue and not tackle this green issue on the production line. For example, Slap huge increase on road tax for larger vehicles.. They should be restricting such vehicles into the UK. I notice all the big car manufacturers are still promoting 4x4s....... this can't be right! They are the ones who should be taxed at a higher rate for producing them!!...

rant over.

Have you got your LPG filler adaptor? Pretty sure France is different to UK.

If LPG did take off in any big way it would have to become more expensive than Petrol and Diesel purely for reason given in Post 7.

I read somewhere we only use 5% of LPG produced,so what happens to the rest, as a guess i would say its burned off, if this is so what a waste could it not be used to power power stations for instance, and in turn drop our bills. I had a 4x4 running on LPG and was very happy with it, one word of warning watch your temperature in the hot weather, I used to run on a 50/50 mix of coolant and water. and remember your plugs have to be changed more regulary because of the hotter burn.

Regards George

P.S Last time I bought LPG it was 37.9p a litre, whats it now ?

Inclined to agree with you there, but those who can afford those vehicles are not worried about it. I have worked hard to have a nice car but get penalised for the pleasure

Thanks, I think the 75 is 50/50 anyway. Up at BernardLPG's place it was 54.4p. At my local Total it is 58.9p. There are lpg specific plugs now but I will change them regulary. I still have to go back to BernardLPG in 1000 miles or so for a final tweak of the setup. I really want to install a better temp gauge at some point but I need to find someone that can do it for me as I do not know one end of a spanner from another!
