Hi Nick, yup slowly slowly catchy monkey, our time will come and I am a patient man, sadly none of us have done anything to deserve such treatment, perhaps it is simply my turn so to speak. There is no doubt in my mind the scumbags come-upance is going to be sooner rather than later.
Mrs Mac and myself took off to spend the night with the in-laws, we had a great time and sank a few too many bottles of vino de rouge from the great french vineyard la plonk We got home early this afternoon, after sorting out the car etc we checked on a Blue Rover 75 Tourer which we are giving some TLC to either sell or keep for our own use, guess what we found ...... Unfortunately the car was parked on the other side of the road from the house and out of cctv range. This has now been changed with the introduction of more cameras and a much wider scope has been achieved, doesn't help with last night, but god help anyone now. The damage this time was much more subtle than the Raven Black, perhaps they are trying to give the impression that it may have been kids, but the police are as convinced as we are, the coincidence or just too overwhelming, so another incident number has been generated and the event logged, of course they can't do anything. Fortunately the scratches will come out with elbow grease, so it is not a cost issue but one of time. Such is life. A good friend of mine working for the police is often called upon to set up servelance on troubled car parks, he has been known to install tiny cameras in coke cans that are "tossed" into the hedgerow to great effect, he called on me this afternoon, with a present, a 12 volt system complete with a camera that looks like a hands free mic, and a full recording set up that lives in the boot, the plan is to install this baby into a donor car, sure as eggs are eggs they will seek action on the car for it being parked right outside the scumbags house. The fotos don't do justice to the actual damages as most of the scratches are not that deep. Here is a bigger pic. http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...blue75-06a.jpg Here is our friends 4x4 that got the same treatment I mentioned in my first post.

Hi mac
like everyone here, sorry that you have people like that living near you. The person who keyed an X on my boot has now moved...... Hope you catch them on vid and that the police sort her out.

Hi Apywell and Nick, thank you and the forum for your comments, its such a shame it only takes one nasty neighbour to spoil our otherwise good life apart from the same woes that we all face with rising costs government etc etc
I have learned more from another close neighbour who was telling me of their run ins, so it looks like its simply my turn. One of our cctv cameras has a blind spot due to an overgrowing shrub, such is the feeling in our close that particular neighbour without hesitation this morning offered for him or me to chop it down to give clear sight. Nice guy. Sorry to hear of your x marks the vandals spot, glad they have moved, the way things are reaching a head here it maybe the best option for the curtain twitching scum to do likewise, indeed i have only just learnt they moved here to get away from troubles when their snitching came on top for them. I am still smiling and even more so when i drive the 75, as posted by another member.

Hi Mac,
As with others here, I'm saddened and frustrated for you to have your cars damaged . I was wondering if you'd taken the 'Anti-Social Behaviour' route, rather than the crimainal damage one? ASB has a much lower threshold for evidence, i.e. evidence that is not good enough for a criminal conviction can still be usable to prove anti-social behaviour. Looks like you and your neighbours should have no problem proving that. If the neighbour has an ASBO and breaks it (easily proven given the cemeras etc, and they are a tenant, their lanldord may evict them and problem moved elsewhere . May be worth contacting your local authority and ask to speak to the ASB team there. Just a thought. Steve |

Hi Steve, very good advice and something we have already done, mrs mac and me were talking with the local representative last week, and spoke again today as well as speaking with another authority, seems we are not alone ... i don't hold my breath though, but plans are afoot so to speak wink wink say no more.
As you say be nice if they choose or are forced to move again. We gave the hedge a haircut today, next we are to "trim" the one further along the road as per the offer made to do so .. so we shall have a good clear view cheers mac

Sorry to hear of your woes.
I think some of the comments are a bit harsh, but what's wrong with this neighbour of yours? Mentally ill or something? |
