reset ecm
Is there a way to reset the ecu without t4? Ie remove a fuse?

Easy - unplug your battery and leave for 30 minutes then replace battery leads. It reboots the ecu.

Thanks Mike, there isn't any nastynesses lurking then by disconnecting the battery? Does the harmony have a radiocode? I cannot think for the life of me why a radio that is intergrated into the dash would have a code but hey!

my harmony didnt need recoding after 24 hours of "battery off" for steering wheeel change. I wonder if it needs the plug to be pulled as well....

Some units, whether they are Harmony or Symphony will either have their code activated or they wont.
The majority of Harmony's tend to have their codes active whereas it's more uncommon for Symphony's to be code-enabled. Sometimes the code can be found actually either printed or hand-written onto the metal case of the radios (the part inside the dash) - Always worth a look before you shell out £5 incase you don't need to |
