Maid Marian
Ok - which barking mad lunatic decided to kill off Maid Marian (Robin Hood, 29th December 2007)? Are the Beeb insane? How can you have Robin Hood without Maid Marian? http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/robinhood...pisode12.shtml In any case - why was the idiot Robin nancying about elsewhere while slimeball Gisborne was massacring his beloved with a sword? |

I was very drunk (after a stag night out in London) on a night bus that T-boned a taxi that pulled out in front of us in front of a police station at 2 in the morning.
I went into the station to summon help, and was joined on the bus by a very attract WPC Sherwood. My opening line to her was............. " Do you know Robin Hood Maid Marion ?????" At which point she told me to shut up or get arrested.........

I agree. At the risk of offending Scooterchick Anna, Marian was one of the few reasons for watching occasionally. I wonder if it will be written as a Dallas-style dream sequence when they realise what they've done.............. |

Make that the only reason for watching occasionally! (Except perhaps for the reasonably nice camerawork and the very nice opening title sequence).
The plot in the final episode was a tad haywire to say the least - i.e. instead of giving Gisborne a damned good thrashing (like she usually does) Marian stands close enough for him to stab her and then tells him to naff off (as in "Up yours slimeball, I'm going to marry Robin"). I think they'll have trouble with the Dallas-style trick since they actually buried the poor girl. In any case, this Robin is a complete moron. The real Robin Hood wouldn't have gone home and left her. In fact he wouldn't have let her get killed in the first place! |
