Unhappy Mobile Mechanic in Cornwall

Good Evening,

A couple of weeks ago I believe my head gasket went.

Thursday - Driving home from work and the temp went straight into the red and the fans started. water level was ok and clear. oil cap was clear.

Friday - EML flashed on once on the way to work and once on the way home. no overheating.

Weekend - Did not use

Monday - EML came on and stayed on. water tank was empty. oil cap was creamy.

EML error was misfire low fuel cylinder 1 - or something similar.

Is there any mobile mechanics local that would take a look/fix this?

2005 MG ZT+ 1.8T

Any help would be great

I would be wary of general mobile mechanics who aren't familiar with MGR as they may make assumptions based on the badge.

Try http://home.btconnect.com/timkellymgcentre/ in St Agnes. They may be able to recommend someone, or maybe you can get a tow there? Not a personal recommendation but suggested on mg-rover.org for MGs.

Cool

Mobile mechanics.

Russell Walsh at MGROVERSOLUTIONS.CO.UK

Or

Mike Stafford at MJSAUTOANDMARINE.CO.UK

Mike Stafford I can highly recommend as He has looked after my cars since 2011. He does have a workshop in Littlehampton and I recently drove my V8 from Saltash up to his workshop for a service and MOT. Passed her test with no advisories.

I have used Moorland Auto Solutions in Saltash for any work that needs doing immediately. They carried out a clutch, DMF, gear selector cables, drop links and disc’s and pads work on my CDTi.
