I/we had a couple of forays into subscribing to Sky for satellite, pre digital terrestrial, now I wouldn't even consider it. There is far too much to watch on the terrestrial channels, we just don't need more.
My mobile costs are comparable to the extra I pay for included calls in my landline package with Plusnet, but as I have a fibre package for internet - why not? I do sometimes use tethering via mobile data whilst away, but that is much more expensive than my unlimited fibre, so I limit my mobile data use.

I thought I would wait until we have done the full switch from BT to Vodafone and update this thread.
Got everything we had before except access to UK TV Gold but I’m sure some wizard will show me how to get that channel again! The big difference is the cost. Identical package now transferred to Vodafone is £33 per month cheaper. Ironically we got a letter this week from BT telling us the home entertainment part was going up again by £1 per month. Furthermore the financial press has been reporting that BT is saddled with huge debts and is in trouble. That’s £34 less per month. Had to buy the box giving us recording capability but then it will be paid for after 4.4 months. Connection to the sound bar was simple so we get good surround sound too. One minor delay was 3 days when BT switched off and Vodafone went live. Hardly a problem when you don’t use your land line and the mobiles still worked using data instead of Wi-fi. Pleased with the result and getting used to the Freeview Play box.

Should have said we got 2 new mobile phones included. With BT it was a SIM only package and had to buy our mobiles.

Just read a report that BT have increased prices 3 times in the last 4 years.
I knew it was getting expensive. They've just announced a further increase in the Sport and entertainment packages and will increase the cost of phone and broadband next year.
