Indeed, you are probably right, good friend. Takes at least 40 minutes a day simply to do all of the worldwide searches to keep the Two-Sixties forum 'Complete List of 260s FOR SALE' list anything like up to date (currently about 27), plus sales statistics for their 'Car Values' section. It starts to spiral! No time to drive my own dear 'Olive', #829 R75V8.

(I'll drop you an email later in the day, Guido, with all the 'family stuff' and news etc. Remiss of me!).

David

I doubt it whent to mr scrappit - It would've been a very good price for scrap if it beat my offer.

Eric: Happy to hear it sold - Hope you got closer to your asking price than I was able to offer.

To Avulon,

Yes, thank you, I got a very reasonable price and the new owner was willing to pick it up here in south of France. It is good to know he will continue to cherish the car as I have done over the past five years.

Hi,
I just wanted to say that I have purchased Eric’s car. I was the person that was originally interested in buying it. Anyway the car is a really nice example, and with a small amount of fettling, It will be an extremely nice car.

I would like to thank Eric for his help, making the purchase as easy as possible, and for his enthusiasm looking after the car so well during his ownership. It was an absolute pleasure driving home from the South of France, and the car performed faultlessly.

Having said that - If I see one more post on this forum along the same lines...

"If I don't sell for a price it's obvious no-one will pay, It will be scrapped"

I'll happily phone the poster's local friendly scrapyard and arrange for them to collect it.
