Default Is point and shoot allowed on here???

I'm not really into photography and I suppose at my age I'm not likely to be.

I had a little Panasonic DMC-FX01, a tiny camera but a great little thing to carry in the pocket. Thing is I've had it almost 10 years and when looking at compact cameras on youtube recently, I couldn't believe how the technology has leaped ahead

So I went out today and bought myself a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60. An unbelievable thing for a point and shoot pocket size.

18.1 mega pixels and 30 times Zoom with so many features it will take me forever to work out.

Maybe I don't belong in the photography section but I had to tell somebody about my new toy...

The best camera you can have is the one you have with you to get the shot

Enjoy your new camera and don't forget to share your photos on here

Cheers guys, I only picked it up late today but as soon as I can I'll go out for a shoot and reveal my David Bailey skills with a few pics.

Don't be daft!
You've got a new camera and you're going to take photographs with it? How can you not belong in the photography section?

Look forward to seeing some great pics, the point and shoots are great cameras nowadays. I know a professional photographer and he always has a pocket point and shoot with him.

I'll second that. Carry it with you ready to use. I still get caught out at times without a camera wishing I had one for some sunset or unexpected vista.

Remember it doesn't cost to take a photo. don't just take one - use auto bracketing or manual overrides and take a dozen adjusting exposure and framing as you take them. Decide which is best later.

Same as everyone says, just enjoy the ten year leap in technology
I still have my tiny Nikon that I paid around £300 for in 2000, I don`t use it now a days but just keep it because it was my first digital.

I replaced my old camera earlier this year for a simple fugifilm finepix S1700 zoom camera. One thing I especially like is the auto button, it sets everything automatically & takes perfect pictures every time

You are most welcome to post up your photos 24/7 The TZ60 offers a great package with the latest technology and a Leica lens. It's compact, light and comes from a high quality proven, respected brand, well up there with the market leaders. I would love to have a TZ60 for my travels. I particularly like its HD video abilities wth image stability, manual controls, wifi for easy uploading and remote controls.

Enjoy your new camera, have fun and do post up!
