Angry I'm wheely nuts....

Yes. I'm not a happy bunny for two reasons:

1. Some thieving scumbag has nicked all me shiny chrome valve caps and stems! Must have happened on Sunday on my day trip out to Wales. Plenty of time when it was in car park for some little toerag to think "Oh look, they'll look sooo much better on me Nova than on this guys lovely ZT. I think I'll borrow them on permanent loan." Very thoughtful....

2. As mentioned in Baxlin's thread, I've just come to wash my car and discovered that my wheel nuts are rounded off. This was almost definitely the garage where I had the tyres replaced fault as they were fine before then. Not all of them are rounded but one or two on each wheel are chaffed to the extent that my socket no longer turns them. To further confound matters the locking wheel nut key is badly rounded off. This renders it useless and as such I cannot remove any wheel from the car even if the other nuts were intact.

So, two quesions:
1. Anyone know of any chrome valve stems/caps, wheel nuts and locking key going cheap?
2. Anyone got a very large stick....

I was very surprised too. SWMBO thinks it was because we parked in an underground car park. I parked there because it was easier to get kids in/out of car and just in case it rained (which it did as we were leaving). To be honest, I only noticed today but no doubt they went in Wales as nothing like that happens around here (or does it....?! )

I bought a set of these allow grey ones of eBay last week... Click Me They also have sets of 16 if you want to keep the locking stud.

I am very impressed with them. Look much better than the black oem studs that were there. I also have all the old studs and locking ones (#12). I keep a set for one wheel in the boot just in case.

I only have the standard alloys so not worth worrying about them getting stolen.
