But I can't say I've ever seen one and pretty certain it wasn't an option in the brochure ?

However, I know some odd specs did slip out occasionally.

According to the Two sixties grid spokes are fine but hairpins are not suitable for our cars (v8) I have apex wheels as spares and running on gridspokes at present.

I always thought that it was more a case of they hadn't been tested and verified as being suitable rather than,they had been tested and found to be unsuitable?

I have a similar understanding. I've read a statement they were never officially released for the 260. Maybe that was due to lack/absence of testing.

IIRC #22, the estate that went to the States was on hairpins
