![]() This project has been hanging around far too long so, this year, I'm determined to finish it.
It is a 1963 Humber Sceptre Mk1. The original idea was to replace the engine with a Rover 16 valve M16 unit but plans have changed. It's now going to be Rover V8 powered ![]() This is the state of play so far:- The engine bay has been modded and transmission tunnel opened up at the front ![]() The V8 has been lowered into position so that appropriate mounts can be made ![]() This shows the extent of work necessary to the transmission tunnel inside the car.... ![]() ...though when it came to trial fitting the gearbox (Rover LT77 ex SD1) even more metal needed to be removed ![]() (Gearbox needs to be slightly lower than in the above pic) Body requires much work ![]() ![]() ![]() Anyone else got any projects for 2008 ? ![]() Mk1 Sceptre was one of my favourite cars when I was a lad, most had disappeared by the time I was old enough to drive.
That is some project TF, makes my bit of DIY look pretty silly. ![]() |
