Default KV6 160 - 190 upgrade @ Lates yesterday

Anyone on here?

Whilst getting my car serviced @ Lates yesterday, another owner turned up with a Trophy Blue ZT to have his engine upgraded to a 190.

Was it anyone on here? In my rush to get home I forgot to get a name...

Wondering how the job went....

How much did they charge for the badge change?

My ZT 190 never even made 180 with mods

I would gestimate it’s a 177 upgrade unless the cams have been changed.
Young Marinabrian will put things straight.
Oh and the gearing will be lower to get the 190 affect.

Car already had the 177 remap - they had new cams to go in along with a load of other oily bits...nearly £800 worth of work I think.

Lates know how to fit oily bits. They put two 190 engines in my old ZT 190 when the original one decided to eat itself then purchased a used engine up north had it fitted with all new belts etc and turned out the bottom end was goosed so had to buy another engine that Seancar supplied which was spot on.

Pointless putting 190 cams in it without the 190 Getrag.
