Cool Inertia?

Merrily driving along in Banana when all of a sudden the IPK lit up with two warning triangles either side of what looked like the word “Inertia” and the hazards came on. I touch the hazard light switch and everything returned to normal. Car still pulls like a train.

Should I be worried about anything? Was hoping to take Banana up to London on Sunday.
Current mileage is 202,800.

I'd check the connector and wiring at the inertia switch behind the glovebox near the door pillar Bob.

As above seen it happen a few times, sometimes the switch itself plays up and cuts the fuel, had a diesel that did that triggered all the hazard lights and turn the interior light on at night when the fuel pump packed up, if you need a spare interia switch FOC Bob just give me a shout

Bob, as Mick has mentioned it's behind the passenger side A pillar trim.

The switch is similar to the one pictured above, and to reset the spring loaded ball, you push down in the middle of the rubber on the top.

If you give the switch a tap with the heel of your hand, you will hear the ball pop up, with a distinct "doing" sound, then push it down to reset.

Normal service will resume

Needs to be checked if faulty could cause engine to cut out at any time .If a loose connection could fail particularly when under hard acceleration.
