Yesterday I painted my front subframe a nice shade of gloss black ( yes, I know what I've put! )
Then blasted some waxoyl from and aerosol can into the various and multiple holes ( drilled holes from factory, not rust holes! )
Then I sprayed, again via aerosol underseal with added waxoyl on the floor of the car from one end to the other, and finally refitted the undertray which has been off for far too long.

I'm hoping this will keep the dreaded tin worm away for a bit.

I do need to have a look at how I can spray the inside of the sills with waxoyl as I don't fancy having to get it welded up in a few years time.
At the moment all looks pretty good underneath.

If I remove the jacking pads, does this give good access to the insides of the sills?

Looks great!

I've had some success with the old rattle can in the past on various cars, but they've been in base colours.
I've recently acquired some new scratches on my front bumper, but not sure I'm brave enough to give it a go as there is a sort of metallic finish to the paint.

I did mine by taking the long chrome sill strips off and squirting Dynax in through the 12 clip holes with a long spray attachment on the can. Then I did the ends through the big grommet holes in the wheel arches. See post 16 onwards - https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...=297756&page=2

NB. If you try this, beware - you'll probably break some or all of the trim clips when you take the chrome strips off. There are 12 per side and they're £2.15 each. https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-DDQ100460 / #11 here https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID001806
The strips aren't very easy to get off.

The 4 sill jacking points are separate items - just squirt wax up through the pad holes.

If you squirt through the jacking pad holes you won’t get to everywhere, remove the sill trims, if your careful you will only break two clips per side (the ones with the rubber insert)

Luckily the trophy blue cans i get mixed from the local supplier are a very good match and blend in well .

Got to do all 4 wings edges of the ZR next ( blue again)

And now the headlining is drooping

I fitted the crank case filter upgrade yesterday to the Connie. The filter was minging!!

It's a venturi-style breather rather than the filter and is an easy job which by all accounts, eliminates any further maintenance. Just need a Torx security socket to remove the four bolts holding the assembly in place behind the fuel rail and it's a 10-minute job. Cost was less than £14.

Good video here: https://youtu.be/FQwZrjGUN-o

Dougie.

Sorry, but the pcv replacement you have fitted is not maintenance free. . A misconception put about by the unknowing muckcaniks.
