If it’s in sound condition then just clean up and sell it on. These cars are getting scrapped for the silliest reasons.

Hope you are keeping well, in general yes it is in a sound condition, it just pd me off the way it has been run into the ground, I suppose it could be brought back up to scratch with a bit of time and effort which I don't have. Rev |

I cant understand why people treat a car as a disposable item and cant even keep them clean.
I service my wife's friend's and her husband's cars normally just prior to MOT time, when they suddenly remember 'maybe I need to take care of my car or its gonna fail its mot'. Last year her car had wipers where the rubbers had come away from the blades leaving huge scratches across the windscreen, tyres with about 10psi in them and brake pads virtually down to the metal. Just last month his car had 2 rear tyres with tread cracking and the engine with no oil at all showing on the dipstick. I had to put 1.5 litres of oil into it. Light bulbs? Why bother replacing them, sure it will get done for the mot My sister in law drove her car for 13 years and proclaimed proudly that it had never been serviced, just fixed when things broke, ie new brake pads when they wear out and take the disc out with them. Oil change? Nope, just topped up when it used enough to bring the low level light on Im not a mechanic just a keen diy car lover prepared to get my hands dirty and like to keep my cars clean tidy and well maintained. So I have a few suggestions if you want a car that is dependable and keeps on going with zero maintenace: In 3rd place, Skoda Rapid 2nd place, Hyundai IX35 and the winner by a mile, 1st place goes to Suzuki Ignis 's |
