It’s this kind of situation that’s going to kill a lot of these cars in the near future. Storing a car in the open air just doesn’t work, I tried it with my 75 and was shocked at how it started to deteriorate or maybe I’m just too fussy. The only way to store a car is in a climate controlled environment and I’m fortunate enough to be able to do that with the ZT but that could so easily change. Cars at Bones’s value are difficult to deal with, I could purchase at a pinch but distance more than doubles the purchase price. I have a fairly big drive I could keep it on but it’ll deteriorate at a rate of knots so just isn’t worth it

I've had my 75 Tourer since January 2006 but it has had to live outside for the last eleven years. It is not significantly deteriorating (at least in my eyes!) but it does get regular use and reasonably frequent cleaning. I think usage is the secret and in my case it is the only car I have that is on the road (My Riley is still sick!) so it is driven daily.

I had a few offers (including Simondi) but it seems the niggly things that are wrong with it were putting them off, such as loose trim pieces and illuminated sun visors that are missing the covers. The fact that the roof needs lacquering as well didn't help matters.

Turns out I've had to take it off sale for a while now anyways, as the heater has developed a rather nasty grinding noise ( at least I think it's the heater - only happened when I switched it on)

A shame, because the car itself is unbelievably quiet and a joy to drive.

For the price it’s a bargain, even with the little jobs that it needs.
