What I did with my Rover 75/MG ZT today?

Projector headlamps are plug and play, no T4 required. The self levelling is for the xenon's but not required as plenty of folk have fitted xenons without fitting the self levelling or the lamp wash.

Yup ... Took an hour start to finish including changing the O rings. Might have taken a little longer had i done them

Checked plenums on silver saloon (#1) and silver tourer (#2). All good.

Sprayed some silicon lubricant into door locks in preparation for winter weather.🙄. Too early???🤔

Rubbed some autoglym “bumper and rubber care” around all door seals.

Thought about doing an oil and filter change in the tourer, but didn’t.🙄.
(Thought it may be best to consult the Maintenance schedule first, which is kept in work office).

Took marmite saloon (#3) up to “local” car wash, 3 miles away, only to find the drive home made it almost as bad as it was before it was washed.🤬.

Cut the grass, in the vain hope that this might be last cut of the year.🙄

Went to pub for a couple of sherberts.

Scared the living daylights out of myself.
Three weeks ago I did the timing belts on my 190. Two weeks ago
I had it apart again to fix an error I made on the belt tensioner.
Thursday I had it on a very short 1km trip and when I get home it had a
disturbing noise from the region of the belts. A bad night's sleep followed
turning over all the scenarios of what went wrong.

Friday morning came, and it turned out to be a 2-minute fix.
Seems that when I reassembled the R/H engine mount I had snugged up the crossbolt and the two bolts holding
the upper mount steady bracket while I torqued the hydromount then forgot to torque them up afterwards.
The bolts had worked loose and the bracket was vibrating.
What a relief!

I was able to fit one of those E-bay Chinese fob cases to my existing key blade.
It was quite close but required a bit of dremelling on the blade to make it fit.

Changed the PCV filter, carefully mopped up the remnants of the oil leak, and decided to cut the grass before the heavens opened.

So I didn't change the oil as planned, but then again who wants to lie on the deck, while it's persisting down with rain

Changed two front droplinks,O/S front ABS sensor, scratched head as speedo fault not cured. O joy!!

Did a 100 mile round trip to see the in-laws and the 75 passed 205,000 miles in the process, whilst averaging 39.7 mpg.
