Default Cubby torch & socket

Buy a BMW torch (can’t remember what model) change badge on the torch sorted wiring torch is not hard just wire it to a switched live and earth on your radio harness. Power sockets are still on auction sites(£15) but this needs to be fed by a relay and to be honest I’m still trying to get my head around wiring a relay I’m sure someone will be along soon to put you right on the wiring

the oem one vub102160 has not been available new for years,i bought the last one on xpart from damian kroes over four years ago.they do come up on ebay from time to time and command high prices.mind you most of them the batterys will be had it by now even with being a rechargable.new batterys can be fitted but they are soldered in.the bmw item as pointed out is your best bet it is exactly the same apart from the bmw badge

Here is a picture that I took of a Rover 75 and the BMW torches:

The Rover kit came with a wiring loom, with a plug plug that plugged into the fuse board.
Also hard to find now.

I think rimmers may well have the socket.
The torches are not very bright, there is a thread an improving them but perhaps a 3rd party torch is the way to go

Modify a BMW one with an LED bulb.
You don’t need the wiring plug, shielded spade connectors will suffice on the fuse box end with bullets on the torch end

Default Still looking

If anyone has an original Rover cubby torch, I'd like to buy it.
Cheers
Paul
