A good wash and polish and a few hours cleaning and it would look a different car

The rain here has helped a lot and a quick dash round with a sponge has cleared most of the slime! Inside still stinks of rat pee and not having the correct key means it will never start again (just used for parts)

It might be worth giving Marinabrian a PM , I'm sure he could sort it for you

Some traffic film remover and a pressure washer would have it looking like a different car. Followed by a clay bar and some polishing compounds on a DA, I'd quite enjoy that!

Thumbs up Worth a try

I think you've got the making's of a really descent vehicle there . Will take some time but you might look back and say how absurd it could have been scrapped.
Positively , good luck and well done in saving it.

A late contemporary se with full options! Xenons too. Someone spent a lot of money on that car and is my personal favourite type. Be great if it could get running again. Isn't member Lovel nearby to you? He has a T4 and knows how to use it. Might be able to get you running again. Depends on mouse damage I guess.

A Contemporary SE with the SE pack is one of the best spec late models built, a replacement key is around £200, which doesn't seem too bad considering the car was free

A real shame to break such a high spec model, I'd see it as a challenge to restore it back to it's former self and get it on the road again, rather than just an easy source of 'nice' bolt-on extras & weigh-in value

Gary will be able to sort out a key for you, and I'm sure he's be up for the challenge as he's always complaining his T4 doesn't get any use these days

Something like THIS to sort the mechanical key issue, and Gary has the technology to sort out the immobiliser.

So before you condemn it, why not give it a go?.........there is nothing more satisfying than bringing one back from the brink of death

This is the sort of project that separates the true enthusiasts from the quick buck brigade.
Personally, I’d strip the whole interior out and get a full ECU and lock set recoded to the car to see if it at least starts. If it does....fab! Full resto job and mega deep clean.
I’ve cleaned far worse than that.
