Hole in Exhaust Flexi joint
This is my first post, so apologies if this has been covered before, but my 190 ZTT has a hole in flexible joint on exhaust by the cat, and advised of replacement system without rear box, as that is nearly new, which could be £350 +. Have checked different links which recomend using Flexi joint, but none seem to refer to a petrol V6 190. Exhaustpartsuk can fabricate a part, and my questions are,
Anybody got experience of fitting a flexible joint, and what is the optimum length? Can anybody tell me inner & outer diameter of exhaust pipe? Is it better to weld or can I use clamps and exhaust paste? Many thanks Nigel |

There are some available on e-bay, I have fitted a few, they just clamp in place, around £30 if I remember.

Thanks for reply ,
I've seen some of the eBay parts, but the ones I've seen do not include the 190 ,petrol, is this because the dimensions of a petrol are different to diesel, or just not looking in right place? Everyexhaustpart.com, has offered to make one up if I can provide dimensions of length of Flexi , and will also call Exhaust Parts at Walsall later today who offer welded and clamped versions.
