Just £2 a month to the Man Flu charity can get fellow sufferers a clean hanky and a bag of Fishermans Friends . Please give untill the sore throat ,goes for good . Thankyou .

My lad brought the Man-Flu into our house a couple of weeks ago and my wife then picked it up and subsequently passed it on to me.

As I am a full time carer to my wife there was nothing in the way of support or sympathy for me and so drastic action was needed.

Dressed in t-shirt, jumper and dressing down under a duvet to sweat it out while taking on-board plenty of liquids (the highland malted variety was to hand), I made a full recovery in 24 hours. The other two are still sniffling and coughing.

I put my miraculous recovery down to being Northern.
