16:9 Headunit Vs Harmony
Hi.
I want to install this unit: http://www.blocket.se/vi/12036674.htm?ca=23_3_s instead of my harmony-Tape unit and i wonder if its a direct fit to the connectors that's in my car? If its not, what do i need? If i need the entire loo, and modules i not going to bother, but if its as simple as i hope... I realise that the TV and Navi won't work without the extra hardware/modules, but will the CD and the screen work? I'm really just after the Radio/CD but i think it would look nice with a 16:9 scrren even thou it won't navigate nor accept incoming tv signals. Regards from A rainy Sweden =) |

You need most of the bits to get this to work so won't be cheap.
If you don't have the Sat Nav system already installed you will need TV Tuner without which no Screen Picture, Sat Nav Computer, Aerial, New Loom, Radio Unit etc. You just can't install the Head Unit I'm afraid. If you just want CD/Radio there is a lot of cheaper routes you can take. Last edited by JohnDotCom; 30th June 2007 at 09:49.. Reason: Spelling |

As John says the head unit is only a dumb terminal (or thin client ). Without the loom and other stuff it can only sit there.
