Two miles further down is the sunk island battery this was opposite stallingbrough battery used to defend the Humber in ww1

A fantastic set of pictures that you have posted Rich, many thanks. I vividly remember us climbing the wall of the army base to gain access, load's of happy memories larking around, collecting bird's egg's and just generally enjoying our selves and getting up to all sorts of mischief. Happy day's .

20 Years I worked in & around Hull, first few years the schools were still equipped with 30's equipment Then they built Perronet Thompson school what an abortion Hully gullies will know. Always found the old part of the City much more interesting, the baths on Beverley Road, Trinity College (I think?) near the new shopping centre, the waterfront buildings etc. Haven't been down since retiring in 08, so I suppose it's change a bit Nice pics fellas, brings some memories back
