Help identifying missing part/clip?

Hi new to the forum, signed up as I have just bought a 2005 Rover 75 1.8 Petrol Classic. I am not the most clued on about cars so when buying this one arranged for someone that knows about cars to come with me. He seemed happy with the car apart from one issue of what seems to be a missing clip or something not quite right under the radiator as you can see it's held on with a couple of cable ties.

Does anyone on here know what is missing? So I can purchase the correct part or whatever is needed.

Believe it or not that is standard fitment for a PRT thermostat.....quality job eh?

No question is a silly one Tommy, I thought the same about my own car six years back "why is the PRT held in place with a cable tie?"

All 1800 cars with PRT fitted came this way, I fashioned a large P clip from stainless steel for my own car, but a bit of overkill really

My 05 facelift now has a heavy duty cable tie also.

I had to wrap another hose with a bit of old inner tube as it was touching the radiator!

In the original setup, the zip tie around the PRT is attached to the subframe with a fir tree type retainer with a slotted hole. The zip passes through this. The result is, the PRT is held pretty loosely, but it can't really go anywhere. In the photo it looks as if the zip tie is simply attached to whatever's handy and the PRT pulled tight to it. Just as functional but less pleasing on the eye.
