Take out and test
Sounds like power VIS not working. Remove it from car and repeat. If still nothing it is no longer working.

Neither vis motors are operating .
When you plug in the tester select the vis motor and press and hold the button, the led should illuminate and you should hear the motor power across and then stop. When you release the button you should hear the motor drive back to rest and the LED will extinguish. If you cannot hear the motor run the vis is not working. If you plug the tester in and the LED is on without pressing anything then the Vis has failed in the energised position. The motor on the power one drives for a little longer than the balance one as the power one drives through 180 deg and the balance drives through 90 deg.

Well power vis stripped down micro switched glued in place and lying in the sun at the moment, as soon as I opened up I could see the switches were loose put the tester on and pressed the switches in and the motor fired up so will see if this helps it or it's a replacement, then after this one onto the balance to see what all this oil talk is about lol

Rob,
When you remove the balance actuator, also slide out the valve. Check that the flap moves very freely within the frame (they often don't). If it doesn't, apply abrasive paper very gently until it does. Simon
