My headlamp washers on the Dorcherster have not been working so with a new pump in hand took the front bumper off hoping to also fit in a new shannon tube and change the standard halogens over to a set of Xenons.
So bumper comes of OK, fit in the new Washer pump and still no jets of water coming from the washers. Checked the pump and it working OK so must the the return valve. Trying to get the pipes off the valve I end up breaking one of the outlets and then I find the new pump has also broken at the outlet so leave that for another day. Shannon tune went Ok fitted fine, then tried to fit the Xenons and find that they are not sitting as well as the halogen being that bit longer with the burners, on the drivers side I can move some wiring and for OK on the passenger side definitely some issues with the width of the the new shannon tube so try to squash it as much as it could and get both lights fitted, come to put the bumper back on and there is some resistance with fitting it into the side fitting, by this time I'm knacked being a bit of a blubber boy and decided to finish off another day after I've bought a new return valve and pump.
So not a good day at all

Changed MG badges front and rear. Polished headlights with Maguiers headlight restoration kit. Interestingly kit cost twenty one pounds at Halfords but I purchased similar for six pounds ninety eight pence but traded as motorcycle visor/plastics cleaner by Maguiers and appears to be the same product.

Today I cleaned and polished the 75 to within an inch of its life. I also returned my centre caps so they looked as good as the wheels I recently had powder coated. Only owned her about 5 weeks but she's starting to come together now - still a few things to bring up to speed but ticking along nicely! Cheers
