Default Productive weekend

After fitting my reconditioned Brink towbar last weekend i had it professionally wired up yesterday and also my seat airbag connections renewed & aux & torch wired up.If anyone in Plymouth needs an auto electrician i can recommend Ceri Critten (01752 556093) who did a great job

Fitted a gold resistor from Jules so whilst the bumper was off i polished up the headlights.

A bit of pre mot work


New flexible joint fitted


And the rotten outer skin on the silencer chopped out and new sections let in......

I had the idea of an Airstream trailer, however I ended up with the lovechild of Red Dwarf's "Crichton" and Frankenstein's monster.

Still as the inner box was intact, it has to be better than the crispy mush it replaced.













The road test to Stockton, revealed a super silent civilised cruise


Not pretty, but it doesn't need to be really

Treble curvature from sheet steel isn't easy to do

Now i know nothing about welding, was that what i presume a door mat to keep yourself dry? Or does it do something technical?

On Friday I rewelded my exhaust strap, second time but this time a much better weld (still an amateur under supervision) and now I'm reasonably confident.

All in preparation for a run down to the Manchester classic car show at Event City. Just one measley ZT-T on show from another 75 & ZT club. But nevertheless saw a few on the motorway and some very nice cars at the show.
