Good morning all, good morning Bob, how are you? The house move yesterday took 9 hours to complete. Jessica twisted her back, ouch! but is seeing a chiropractor at 11 am today to get it sorted. Today is a new day and we are both feeling positive.

Talking of needles, my neighbour in North London sent a video of his 5 year old granddaughter doing her own blood glucose test. She has Type I diabetes and needs insulin 4 times a day. Yesterday she was admitted to one of the UCL hospitals in London to stabilise it. Her personality and strength shines like a Star.....https://youtu.be/GVY0httVCy0

Have a great day

Morning all, dark damp dismal day here. My backs still giving me major jip so nowt on the cards for me again today, the drill press outside is covered in surface rust again after stripping the paint off with the wire brush attachment on the grinder.

It can wait, I put a plastic bag on the motor so no damage done whilst it's outside.

Morning Phil, It must have been a hectic time for your good selves moving house across the country, I dread to think of doing that.

Yes and very brave

We are in a nicer area than we were living in North London. We don’t have a garden, but the gardens here are all manicured and kept nice, we overlook the hills and cows in the fields.

Take it easy today Ian with your back.

Mentioned a while ago taking in a Goldfinch with a damaged wing . . . . still here! I mentioned to my other half about phoning the RSPB, "what will they do?", try to repair the wing, if not they'll probably put her to sleep . . . . ooops, that was the wrong thing to say. I suspect we've acquired another family member. Have to say the wee thing seems quite happy, warm house, endless supply of food and water. My other half is now talking about more suitable accommodation, ie a bird cage . . . . just thankful it isn't a seagull!

Oh dear! Mentioned the flu jab yesterday. I felt fine until a couple of hours ago, dull pains started to appear in the muscles, now got a headache creeping in and seriously can't be bothered to do anything including going out to get something for dinner.

Evening all, it's been dark & dank all day, never switched the house lights off since first thing this morning.

Roast chicken, roast spuds, roast parsnips savoy cabbage and gravy for tea. I've already got the stock saved for tomorrows soup & the dried peas soaking.

Tonight's youtube 'B' movie is Invasion of the Saucer-men 1957.

I see - young ladies with revealing clothing being attacked by huge-headed aliens - you pervert you

Mind you, I've been sat watching "Westward the Women"
