Default An Aussie KV6 220S owner needs help

A desperate local owner (Australian) has a Rover 75 2.5 KV6 220S.

His car was one of the KV6 cars developed by Sprintex Australia. Sprintex Australia have moved on and no longer support their conversion. Their “upgrade” included their S3 210 supercharger that boosted output to 220 bhp.

I don’t think the supercharging was a great success. One or two of these cars may have drifted back to the UK – in which case someone may know about them.

I have heard that Sprintex amended the standard ECM software that also had a secondary ECU attached to it. It sounds a bit like the Mitsubishi Magna supercharged 6 cylinder that had a piggy-back attachment affixed to the Magna’s ECM.

His car is presently languishing on his lawn – unable to start. My only suggestion is to remove the supercharging gear from his car and install a virginised KV6 ECM.

He would welcome suggestions, as he is anxious to get his car back on the road.
