Default Lovely day for a show

I took the 75 to the Festival of 1000 cars at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire today and had a great time . There was lots of interest in the 75 and a lot of lengthy conversations were had . I may have persuaded one or two chaps to join the club
There were only 2 75s on the show field , but 3 ZT 260s and a couple of other ZTs ! I took mine into the competition ring for the 1990- 2003 category ( the rules state that cars have to be over 15 years old ) , but didn't win The winner of this category was ……… a Ford Escort . Notwithstanding the shame , the weather was great and I was well happy with the interest shown in the 75
A couple of piccies are attached ……….

To be fair, keeping a '90s Escort looking half decent is far harder than doing the same to a Rover. MG/R did a great job of rust-proofing the bodies and a top quality paint job, ' cos they knew they would leak! Just consider how few 90's Escorts are left compared to 75s and ZTs - I would guess a very small %age of their original number.
