Why do people think it's overpriced and expensive it may be worth every penny it may not has anybody been to look at the car have we got use to picking these cars up for very little money that if a good clean example comes along its not worth the asking price I for one wouldn't hesitate in paying the right price for the right car whatever the marque
Sent from my VFD 710 using Tapatalk Also would like to add what has colour got to do with the sale of the car if it ticks all the boxes it right for you 😊 Last edited by ricardo65; 27th July 2020 at 11:35.. |

Thanks for the replies, really appreciate it.I first started looking around a month ago and must have covered nearly everything that must be on sale at the moment.
Ched,i've looked at that a number of times and checked the MOT history, regarding the structure has put me off. I'm looking for a diesel, 75 or ZT and from what i've read i shouldn't be put off too much by mileage. I must admit the car i originally asked about does tick a lot of boxes,i just can't afford to get it wrong,at that price,it has to be right. I'm on here to listen to advice so feel free to give it,especially if you know the car. Another reason is,with living down this neck of the woods,i'm prepared to travel ,but don't want to see a car that is unsuitable within 30 seconds flat. Thanks again. There is a going rate for the market with exceptional examples fetching more of course, but unless you have an agreed value insurance you could lose money big time if you pay over the odds and then have a shunt and get the car written off. As for the colour, well if it weren't for the number plates you'd think the pictures were taken on black and white film - it's all various shades of grey. . Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories): Vehicle structure is fractured but structural rigidity is not significantly reduced (6.1.1 (a) (i)) And looking on the mot site gives this answer......... Category (a) A main load-bearing structural member: (i) fractured or deformed such that structural rigidity is significantly reduced (ii) fractured or deformed such that steering or braking is likely to be adversely affected. |

People start by looking out for a nice looking car with good history, eventually finding what seems to be nearest to their preference. Then they blind themselves to some of the practicalities and let their heart rule their head.
For instance, have you seen the number of diesels on the market lately? Certainly a lot more than this time last year. Already diesel fuel is rising higher than petrol and will continue, given the trend away from fossil fuel. Does that matter to you? You could possibly find taxation of them becoming unmanageable in the near future so factor that into your plans. In short, do you see the car as short, medium or long term, then reconsider the price over that period. And, incidentally, also the depreciation of what it cost you to buy into versus other cars of a similar heritage.
