Default FBH Hose Part Nmber Needed

While collecting the car from SHMBO it statrted to overheat and loose power. When I got her home I found that it's the hose that comes from the front of the fbh near the top that has bolwn a hole.
I have had a quick look for a part number but no luck so far.
Can anyone help.
I will give Les at SMC a ring to see if he has one.

Ive a parts breakdown for the FBH but its at home.

you could try your nearest X part dealer- they "should" be a stock item

Ive no doubt someone will be along shortly wioth a part number, if not I will post one up tonight if I can find the paperwork ( is it the one with the little air bleed crew in it ?)

Thanks Black Olive.
I spoke to Windsors Of Wallasy and they menioned the bleed screw aswell, but mine doesn't have one.
It looks like it has been cut and a straight connector fitted where the hose comes over the top of the heater. They quoted £19.14 + vat for the hose but I need to be sure that is the right one before I order.

interesting- there are a number of hosed listed dependent upon whether the heater is fitted or not.
thinking about it I may even have a hose as I obtained an FBH from a scrapper and it came with the hoses fitted. Ill have a look tonight.

Here is the FBH parts list but I don't see the hose you need on it:http://66.163.168.225/babelfish/tran...c%2fr%2f124191

From the pic you posted up it, you need the hose with the bleed screw - its about 12-15inches long. There should be a joining for it on the near side of the FBH.

I have one of these hoses if you want it but if I was you i would buy a new one. A second-hand hose may be perished and you could be back where you started in a few months. I'm all for saving the pennies but with something like this you are better off with a new part.

Thanks CDTi.
I want a new if possible and I think you are right about it having a bleed screw but as you can see from the picture mine doesn't have one. Maybe that has been cut off and the connector put in it's place. But as I have said I would like to be sure before ordering one and finding out after it's the wrong one.

Ths looks like the hose you need - up to the joining on the RHS:

You could contact Gary Parle @ Rimmers. He is very helpful and if you send him this pic he should be able to send you the part.

Silly me.
Didn't notice the time. I will have to wait until tommorow now.
Oh well a cold beer to ease the pain of my baby being sick should help me through the night.
