Sorry I must strongly disagree with your comment, why break a car that is in great condition, that is a perfect runner and is free from any mechanical defects. It would be such as waste of a lovely car.

Cat D is the very lowest form of insurance write off and can be given due to very minor issues that are easily fixed. The definition of Cat D is - "A Category D write-off is one that insurers consider unecomonical to repair but one that could, given enough time in the workshop, be repaired and returned to the road."

My car had been fully repaired prior to my purchase, it has been driven for nearly two years now, it is entirely solid and reliable.

If my car had an no cat I'd be asking for a lot more, I feel £2400 for a fully specced connoisseur diesel auto, is a good deal and I've had lots of pm's from interested people.

Would have to agree with the above post - its a lovely motor and a good price for a late oil-burner.

remember that due to the shortage of parts for our cars now then insurance 'write-offs' will be more commonplace. i dread to think that my tourer could be written off after a minor rear end shunt (light clusters and bumper).

It needs a few little touches such as changing to the right badges, but the price is not all over the place for the spec and mileage. However the most worrying part would be the lack of documentation as to why it was a Cat D in the first place would put me off.

That being said if it is what it is then it will be a great buy for someone, breaking it up would be out of the question!

Thanks for your support gents. Had a drive out in her this evening after giving her a wash and wax and could spot a few heads turning. Someones going to get lot of car for not a lot of money

I hope whoever buys the car will stay on these forums, I check two sixties from time to time and its great to see my previous ZT 260 going strong in Ken B's capable hands.

Great stuff Paul and thanks for your kind words. I did wonder where the car went after Chris had passed it on. I recall he missed it quite a lot when he got his company car. I often look at my old pictures of the car and miss the X-Power Grey, such a lovely colour.

My works car has now arrived, so this car is ready to be released (apologies to those who've pm'd me and I've kept you waiting, I get quite busy sometimes with work and need to get around ).

I'm available Friday evening and all weekend and would welcome any viewings, so just pm me to arrange an appointment.

As you are available.... why not bring it to the National?
