Games.
Hi All, I am playing pinball games from Steam and now when I click the shortcut the message is " app already running. Cannot open the game ". The trouble shooter says "exit Steam fully and right click the shortcut and run as administrator". When I click it there is no option to run as admin, Can anyone advise please?. Thanks. John.

Go to the task manager, select the processes tab and look for Steam there - close the process if showing. Then try opening Steam again and selecting the game. |

If I remember correctly John you're using a Galaxy Tab.
Hold the home button down and a list of running apps will show, swipe the one that's giving you issues to the left or right to close it. Then open the app again. |

1. Ctrl-alt-del - this should open task manager or pop up a box that gives you the option to select task manager. 2. You should see four tabs - Applications, Processes, Performance and Networking. 3. Firstly, make sure you're in the applications tab. Look for a task titled Steam. Select it and then press the end task button at the bottom. 4. Now go to the processes tab. This will show a rather long list of active processes. Look for a process called steam. Select it. Then press end process. This should fully turn off Steam. 5. Now try opening steam and running the game. If this doesn't work, the game file might be corrupt and there's a way to fix this via Steam. Let me know how you get on. I don't play pinball, mostly RTS type games. |

I have done as you said, deleted steam from processes, but when I try to launch the three games it says Pinball FX2 has stopped working.

1. Open steam 2. Go to library 3. Right click on the game that's causing you trouble and select properties 4. Select the tab that says local files 5. Click on verify integrity of game cache 6. Steam will then validate the games install - if it finds anything wrong with it those files will be re-downloaded and installed. 7. After doing this, click play and steam should reinstall and launch your game. |
