So very, very sorry to hear this terribly sad news!

I met Derek and Lillian on a few occasions and to be honest never a truer Gentleman have I ever met before or since!
The world will be a poorer place without him....

Deepest heartfelt condolences to Lillian and extended family - may the Lord grant him to Rest in Peace.

Default RIP Windrush

Devastating news about Derek's passing yesterday. However, a happy release for him as he will not suffer any more.

I totally agree with everyone else that he was one of life's true Gentlemen. Always ready for a chat together with Lillian at our regular meets.

Rest in Peace old friend. My sincere condolences to Lillian and Family.

As well as closing the Forum as a mark of respect - what about some sort of award within the club - the “Windrush” - I am sure we collectively could come up with a fitting subject that befits Derek.

Those that knew him well have described a true gent and stalwart of the club.

I feel a more permanent way of remembering Derek would be good.

A superb idea & fitting tribute Jim. I think his passing is having a profound effect on many of us, particularly at this time of year for his family.
