I think that there is a few different maps that can be applied so a actual figure will be hard to produce, and that in itself may affect it, I certainly wouldn't be using a heavy right foot from a standing start, you might end up ripping the clutch apart, also there are other outside influences that can alter the results i.e. grade a fuel, etc

So is there any point or gain in having the remap if it can cause complications to gearboxes,. Tom.

You can wreck a standard gearbox if you have no mechanical sympathy!

My 160 is coming up to 250,000 miles now, only had one clutch fitted and that was last year!

Have a 160 map done and then ask yourself the question..
Anyone can wreck a car by racing off the line at every opportunity.

Hi Dinky
I would seriously recommend the remap. It quite literally brings your car to life especially if yours is just a 116 auto like mine was .
Well worth it buddy.

The lads are right about the 160map, it really does make a World of difference. I have never tried to blast off from a standstill on start up so can't comment on 0-60 times (although I do admit to leaving folk behind at traffic lights after warming up ) but as mentioned the biggest noticeable gain is from 40mph upwards as if you let your eyes slip from monitoring your speed you will be doing 70+ in a matter of seconds without realising it because it happens so smoothly with no effort.

DONE: HAD A CRAZY IDEA THAT I HAD TO GET RID OF MY MG ZTT DUE TO NOT HAVING A DRIVE AND HAVING TO PARK ON A BUSY STREET WITH A VIEW TO GETTING ANOTHER ONE AT A LATER DATE WHEN I HAVE A DRIVE.

ENDED UP REALISING IT REALLY ISN'T PRACTICAL NOT HAVING A CAR TO GET AROUND AND I NOW OWN A VW EOS 3.2 V6 INDIVIDUAL (1 OF 20 REMAINING IN THE UK WITH THAT ENGINE AND TRIM COMBO) EVEN THOUGH I STILL LIVE ON A BUSY ROAD WITHOUT A DRIVE

A huge increase in power But do not go from a standing start Could be detrimental due to the torque applied But from 15mph to 60mph (coming off a roundabout) uphill, mine does in about 9 seconds .... Happy

The downside to the upgrade is that if you use too much welly from a standing start, the wheel spin is rather embarrassing And not to be repeated... too often

I`m not sure about this, it`s been a while since I had it connected but, does Torque have a setting for this, 0-60? I probably dreamed it
