Depends how sensitive you want the throttle to be.
Just wapping it on no 10 is very rarely the answer

Loads of threads on this, use the SEARCH button above

Installed only the synergy 2 yesterday as don't have the tools to remove the torx security bolts for the maf.
I set it to 10 for a test with the maf compensator on and there was quite a bit of smoke.
So turned off the compensator and the smoke decreased.
Went for a quick drive and noticed instantly an increase in torque, it was like driving a car with a much larger engine.
I then decreased the setting to 2, there was still loads of torque but no smoke.
The mpg was reading average of 48 where beforehand it had been approx 39mpg.
I have a feeling the original maf must be reading high as when using the synergy with the compensator switched on there is an increase in smoke output.
Overall the car is must more driveable with a very slight increase in engine noise when accelerating.
Why did they not have it set this way originally it is far better...

For now, I sujest you have the maf switched off, and the tuner on No 3 ..

That should be fine untill you fit the PB. Once that is on, put the Maf on No 1, run the engine, switch off again, them turn the tuner on and set it at No 3.. That should be about right. = frugal and more torque..

I am running with MAF off, (on original Bosch maf) tuner on No 6, but am getting some sooting on my rear bumper, and a slight loss in MPG. But the car's nice to drive as it is, so I wont alter anything.. ..

Err that would be me

I have tried all the settings though. Cannot see it myself, but trebor said I get a bit of smoke when I first give it the beans on Mway, but I may have had this before, who knows.

Raistlin removed my MAF screws quite easily with a small pair of mole grips, and gave me 2 plain screws to replace them with.
