There are lots of 'how to' on you tube, using toothpaste.
Havn't tried it myself yet though!
I guess it depends how bad they are?

What disc are you using on the sander and what abrasive cleaner? The result looks stunning!

Apart from the obvious 'headlight protectors', is there anything which can be applied as a surface treatment to help keep the cloudiness at bay, once the lens has been polished?

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

There is a clear spray called crystal clear made by rustolem which is claimed will protect the finish make sure you protect paintwork before spraying.
I am sure gatekeeper won't mind me telling you all the kit he used is one produced by 3M called headlight lens restoration system it contains all you will need to return your lights to their former glory, a portable drill up to 1200 rpm is essential to this method and saves a lot of arm and hand ache.
Good results can be achieved in 20 to 30 minutes a comfortable seat helps and less wear and tear on the knees
