Default BMW TV hybrid loss of sound

I've recently fitted the round to flat pin adaptor available on ebay from Germany to upgrade the Rover radio tuner to the BM54. Everything works fine except that I've now lost the sound from the BMW hybrid TV which I had before. I've disconnected the battery and rebooted and rescaned in the TV channels, but no luck. I'm able to get the radio okay and can also use the tape switch button on the boardmonitor to have the radio sound while the TV picture is on, but can't actually get the TV sound itself. Anyone any ideas what the problem might be? Is anyone using the BM54 round to flat pin adaptor and also the BMW hybrid TV unit as well without problems? Thanks.

Problem solved! The round to flat pin adaptor comes with a long horizontal block with pins in which I hadn't quite aligned correctly with the car side unit it goes into so the end pins were not actually connected to anything.
