Odd, because I read it a while back now when I first started my hunt for a 75, and from a reliable source too. I think it was an old Top Gear article as it also stated to buy the latest car you can afford (Obviously) and aim for at least a 53 reg if buying an 1800 for this very reason. If I can dig it out I'll post it.

Wasn't it around 2003 that the (in)famous plastic dowels were replaced by steel ones?

I have now checked Past EPC's and Micro fiche going right back and unfortunately no changes to expansion tank size or sensors since 1999
other than change of colour of tank and slight alteration from Serial No: 158719 which wasn't capacity. Pressure relief cap was altered at same serial number to. The Expansion tank has now been discontinued........ See attached PDF also. Last edited by JohnDotCom; 23rd May 2009 at 08:36.. |

This is correct, the sensors were fitted to the very later 25's etc but didn't make it to the 75's ZT's
