Default Whats your MPG and Post your MPG...?

Just a thought that it may help others gauge the performance of their cars if members posted their average mpg and engine type. We could get a benchmark for the different variants.

So, to start the ball rolling

2.0L Diesel *automatic* = 28mpg

Think it depends massively on the type of driving you do. For instance on motorway journeys I can get up to 50mpg but around town that drops drastically to 30mpg.

my 2.0cdti at the moment is arount 35 mpg with synergy fitted and on setting 3.

Are you taking these figures from the fuel consumption display in the trip computer, or calculating them yourselves?

Have still got a fair few receipts to input onto my spreadsheet (very sad I know!!) but at the last check my CDT was doing 41mpg and this was a mix of very short trips < 1.5 miles to longer trips >80 miles. She has 130k on the clock, so just about run in now.

Wow,
are you serious?
My 2.0CDT auto with 160k on the clock averages out (after 3 years ownership and I've done around 40k miles in her) at 45mpg.

I think you need to have yours looked at Nik.
best wishes, pm

Default Post your MPG.

I have a standard 1.8k series on a 2004 with 26000 miles, and i must admit it is (given the cars size) quite economical going to my work 20 mile round trip 33-35mpg and on a run say up north, i have checked it at 44mpg which is really good for a car this type.

Last tank saw me get 36mpg from my cdt with synergy and intake mod, approx 200 miles on motorway at 3000 rpm the rest urban to work and back.
I have since turned the maf section off and the synergy down to number 3 to see if it makes any difference to economy.
