Hi David
You can recoup some of the cost by selling the old bits on flea bay
but don't do as I did sell them then get a car they could have gone in to

Have you got the info and select buttons working ok on the new screen?
If not I will post a howto with some info

Also once info is working holding it down on the tp page puts the BM24 into service mode

Unfortunately this was the only module I had to buy on a exchange basis, so no longer have the old Rover tuner.

On replacing it with the BMW 4:3/16:9 tuner, there was no option on any menu I could find.

After fitting the 16:9 monitor the option appeared on the TV tuning menu. It's got 4:3, 16:9 and zoom selections.

Yep

like this courtesy of Andrew although V21 should also work

"
I now have a fully working 16:9 display with fully functioning info and select
buttons!
You need to download and burn a v21 firmware disk http://www.e38.org/nav/v21_1_CloneCD.rar
turn on ignition all the way just before she starts, start up the satnav
put it in map view, remove map disc and put in recently burnt disc of version
21(i burnt mine at x1using cdclone)when the software had finished before
the ok screen i turned on and off the radio(not sure whether this makes a
difference or not)for about 3 secs, put my map disc back in whilst the ok
screen was still there, when i pushed the button to OK i turned the radio
on and off for 3 secs or so(not sure whether this made a difference or not
or whether the firmware has the necessary codes already in the software!)and
voila push info and you have tp,rds select tp and keep it pressed and you
get a radio version number. push select and you get radio sensitivity etc
in cd, all the ussual forward back etc and in tape mode dolby b c etc(you
get my drift anyway. Then i updated to version 27 with rover splash screen
doing the same radio on off bits and it all works, perspective split screen
etc.

Regards
Andrew Mableson."
